Indie Cindies

Broadcasting live on livewire1350.com Wednesdays 3-4:30pm

Smoke Fairies - Summer Fades:

Absolutely incredible track from British female blues folk duo Smoke Fairies. Taken from new album Through Light and Trees.

Dr John - Locked Down:
The Nightripper’s newest effort is quite special, definitely worth a listen. Produced by none-other than The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, the record is a swirl of  hazy New Orleans blues funk. The Doctor’s best effort in recent times, and Revolution his best track for a while.

My new mix is out. Hope you like. X

New single from sigur rós. Album out May 28.

New Band:

The Heartbreaks - I Didn’t Think It Would Hurt to Think of You

Another top new band coming through from Manchester. Definitely the place to be for indie music at the moment.

If you’re into bass music, give my new mix a listen. UK Funky house vibes.

Podcast from yesterday’s show.

The Horrors team up with Florence Welch at the NME awards and perform ‘Still Life’. Nice.

Lovely session from one of my favourite artists in recent times - Phantogram.

Are you on This is my Jam yet? If not, why not?
TIMJ thrives on simplicity, and seeks to build a social service aimed at that one famous question - “What’s your favourite song right now?”
You choose one ‘jam’ at a time - which lasts for up to 7 days. In an age of information overload, TIMJ is refreshing - it is nice to see that users have carefully selected their ‘jam’, and I’d be much more likely to listen to it on this service, as compared to a link on twitter. The song plays through the website’s inbuilt player, which is very slick and easy to use.
